Through Every Season

Through Every Season

©by Bud Lemire on March 27, 2026

Hoping that you, get through every season

I'll explain exactly, what is my reason

Variants of every virus, are circulating yearly

If you leave this world, I'll miss you dearly

So here's to sending, the very best

Please try to get, some much needed rest

Eat healthy, and please drink a lot

Water, juices, or whatever you've got

Stay hydrated, so you can stay alive

What I'm saying, well, it's no jive

If your body, happens to tell you to rest

Don't resist it, if you know what's best

Stay at home, if you're feeling sick

Don't pass it around, don't be a hick

You might need, something at the store

Just think, if you do, you'll be spreading it more

Know the right thing to do, when you're ill

Or those with no immune system, you will kill

Be cautious, be wise, and do what is right

So you and others, won't cause a blight

Remember, being sick is staying at home. Not

going out and spreading it around. Do not

be selfish, only thinking of yourself. Think of

others and what you could be giving them.

Something their immune system may not

be able to handle. Take care. Be wise.

Elsa The Blizzard

Elsa The Blizzard

We had just got some snow, just two days before

When the weather man warned us, we couldn't ignore

A bad winter storm, was coming and heading our way

Elsa dropped, over thirty three inches of snow ending on Sunday

What a weekend it was, with all of that snowing

Elsa was strong, there was drifting and blowing

Vehicles that wouldn't stay put, got stuck in the snow

This blizzard had many of us, having nowhere to go

It had schools closed, for at least a week

While plows got rid of snow, this was our new peak

Years ago, we had snow that was high

Now we have tons of, snow on supply

What do we do, with all of this snow

Where do we put it, where will it go

When Spring comes, water levels will rise

Our Lake Michigan, will become larger in size

Is this the new normal, for winter each year

We'll just have to wait, to what it'll bring us here

Until then, Spring is on its way

I'm looking forward, to a Summer day

Blizzard Elsa gave Escanaba 33.5 inches of snow, and

with all the drifts, some places were much higher.

Some say it was the worst we've seen since 1978.

Others say it was further back that was worst.

All I know is, it was bad, as I watched out my

window, and occupied my time doing other things.
