No Failsafe?

I'm usually not political, except with close friends

Lately though, it seems the issue never ends

One after another, and it makes me wonder why

On Social Media, it's a topic that makes some people cry

I laugh at what's happening, and what will

I keep hoping, that this is just a drill

That maybe, they wanted to see what would happen anew

Whatever their plans would be, what is it they would do

Someone would step forward, and here's what they'd say

“He didn't win, he's going to jail, on this very day”

All the judges might help, but why didn't they have another plan

Something that was set in motion, before he even ran

Why he even was able to run, is beyond me

We need to make big changes, for that's the key

No felon, or man with money and power, should ever be

The President that people look up to, in this beautiful country

We should have had a failsafe, a long time ago

Did they people vote him in, really, I'd like to know

Or did the guy with all the money, buy every vote

“Were the people that gullible?” is my ending quote

Maybe I live in a fantasy, but this reality seems so farfetched.

As if it was set up. Even now as they get ready to take over

in 2025. It seems like nothing is running smoothly for them.

I have a feeling we have a long way to go, before we even

feel safe with the clowns running the show.
