A
Wonderful Family
by Bud Lemire on Oct 15,

There within
the household, a family became anew
When it grew
to three, where there once was two
The man had
traveled far, from his place of birth
Searching for
his place in life, and what his life was worth
There was a
Mother, and her daughter who lived there
And they had
a lot of love, that they wished to share
They had a
kitty cat, that loved to watch the birds
This man came
into their lives, who mastered poetic words
The daughter
loved to watch TV, every day and night
The Mother
worked hard, because the cost of living was so tight
The man
searched for a place, where he would belong
While his
search continued, he shared with them his song
The daughter
was spoiled, but only in a good way
The Mother
returned from work, exhausted everyday
This man who
traveled far, searched for meaning in this place
He tried to
understand, the people behind the face
The daughter
asked for plenty, because that was her part
The Mother
gave so very much, with all of her heart
The man was
alone too long, he had a lot of love to spare
And he found
within this family, a lot of love to share
As time went
on, the man learned about family life
When he
became a husband, and the Mother became his wife
They learned
from each other, about what a family should be
And the love
between the three of them, built A Wonderful Family
I wrote
this when I lived in Gig Harbor, Washington
