A
Song Of Life
by Bud Lemire on June 8,
2006
She sits
there searching, for pieces to find
A tranquil
feeling, flowing through her mind
Meditation,
in a certain way
After a long,
hard working day
Others will
come, and sit down and look
Sharing their
life’s story, as if from a book
In this room,
she hears it all
While she
further completes, the scenic jigsaw
Looking after
her Grandson, that she took under her wings
In another
part of the building, he silently sings
A song of
life, about all the ties that bind
Of a
Grandmother’s love, one who is so kind
It’s not
easy for either, to be where they are
The journey
is tough, but it’ll take them far
They’ll
look back on these times, with a good attitude
Special
memories to cherish, like a jigsaw that is glued
For we choose
where we are, and we choose where we go
We choose
everything, that we want to know
Just as it
is, with everything that we feel
It is the
same, with my friend Barb Papile
This is
for Barbara Dart-Papile-Olsen,
a good
friend who enjoys a good book
amd a good
poem (usually mine)
