A Moment slipped away

But it'll come another day

You tried to reach for me

But at the time I couldn't see

I didn't hear your call

Yet in memory, you're standing tall

Was there divine intervention

To cause this prevention

Why couldn't I see?

Why didn't you grab me?

I don't understand why

But sometimes I still try

For there we were real close

But to me you were a ghost

Why didn't you raise your voice

Then I'd stop and have no choice

You should have known the choice that day

It would be you, it brought you this way

Let's not look back at that time

But ahead, when you'll be mine
