These Changes

These Changes

I've grown to see things differently

They aren't the same as they use to be

As I change, I don't perceive them the same way

It takes years to realize, not just one day

I reread a book that I read before

Yet inside the words said so much more

It was the same book I read long ago

My feelings had changed for this book I know

We mature with each year that goes by

Things that normally wouldn't, now makes us cry

We can laugh at things that we never use to

Everyday things are what helps us through

When I was younger, there were things I'd not seen

Now the sky is so blue, and the grass is so green

They call to me in whispers in my ear

So I take a photo before they disappear

With each day that we see through our eyes

We learn as we grow and that makes us wise

I find that these changes have a message to say

That we grow even better with these changes each day

Changes change us for the better. We look at things we

saw at one time when we were younger, and we see them

differently. As we change, so is the world around us.

Many times we see even more than we once did.

Whatever the changes are, it sure does make life

more interesting. And so changes are good.
