Our
Beliefs Mold Us

What do you know, what do you believe
What do you do, what do you need
Opinions drawn from our life journey, are what makes us
With a whole bunch of faith, hope, and trust
Our experiences are different, because we are
We bare life’s journey, each of us carrying a scar
Our opinions are different, on what we believe
Our soul striving for everything we’ll need
Who makes us who we are, we do
I make me, and you make you
Yet who else can we be
You must be you, I must be me
Sometimes our beliefs are carried down
Other times our life’s journey brings them around
Something somewhere seen or read that clicked
Of how you wish to be, and it’s the one you picked
Our beliefs mold us
Until once more we’re dust
Our spirits flying once more
As we sit upon Heaven’s Door
What do you do, what do you need
Opinions drawn from our life journey, are what makes us
With a whole bunch of faith, hope, and trust
Our experiences are different, because we are
We bare life’s journey, each of us carrying a scar
Our opinions are different, on what we believe
Our soul striving for everything we’ll need
Who makes us who we are, we do
I make me, and you make you
Yet who else can we be
You must be you, I must be me
Sometimes our beliefs are carried down
Other times our life’s journey brings them around
Something somewhere seen or read that clicked
Of how you wish to be, and it’s the one you picked
Our beliefs mold us
Until once more we’re dust
Our spirits flying once more
As we sit upon Heaven’s Door
