Elma Pond

You can swim across, if you like

Or on the path, you can ride a bike

You can row your boat, from end to end

Or take a walk, with a good friend

You can have a barbecue, and a picnic too

There's so many things, that you can do

The water is warm on a sunny day

And there's no alligators, to get in your way

Maybe take your dog, out for a stroll

Or just a place, you can rest your soul

The beauty here, is a sight to see

It sure was great, for my eyes and me

It's a place where spirits, come to relax for awhile

And it sure does bring, such a wonderful smile

There's nothing as great, as the earthly bond

When you spend some time, at the Elma Pond

 

 

Elma is not far from where I lived in Montesano,

it was the neighboring little town.
