Cake Of
Love
© 2002 by Bud Lemire
Love is like,
the ingredients in a cake
What you put
into it, is what you make
If you want
it to turn out, to what you wish it to be
Then you must
follow, the directions of a good recipe
A man and a
woman come together, to see what they can add
If there's
something missing, it will turn out bad
Maybe there's
something lacking, and there's not enough
And the
finished product, is missing the right stuff
You can cook
it too long, and it will surely burn
If it's not
watched carefully, with each taking a turn
When it's not
fully baked, there's a lack of heat
The flame of
love must be stronger, for it to be complete
Sometimes it
must be rotated, so it will bake just right
And molded
into a shape, that will be an awesome sight
It must be
mixed real well, and properly combined
Then you will
look at it, and true love you will find
If you put
the right ingredients, into what you bake
Then it will
be so wonderful, that icing on the cake
Added with
your spiritual touch, given to you from above
It will taste
delicious, this special Cake Of Love
I remember my wife
loved helping out this one place
by making cakes. I
remember finding a bunch of cake
baking books at a
Garage sale and brought them home
to her. Yes, love is
like a cake, and many times it's what
you put into it, which
will make it a better cake to enjoy.
Other times, each has
the right ingredients to add to the
cake, and yet it will
not turn out the way you planned.
