Today many years ago, there came a special birth
On June 2, 1894, though she’s left this realm of earth
Grandma Alma, I know you see these words
In the spirit world, surrounded by pretty birds
 And I’m sure there’s music around
I can imagine it’s a beautiful sound
It must be quite a wonderful sight
Colors mixed in with your bright light
 The love of music is in my veins
Helping me grow stronger, easing all my pains
The love of family is here too
I smile when I think of you
 You guided me on my path
Helped me to the place I’m at
You help me through difficult times
Sending me love and spiritual signs
 Oh Grandma, I know you’re there
And I know our love we share
While you’re physically not on earth
I honor and celebrate your birth

 
                       This is for my Grandmother Alma Duford-Joint, who passed into the spirit
                        world long before I was born. I feel her love and presence in everything I do.
