Radio
From Heaven
2003 by Bud Lemire
Much to my
surprise, the music started to play
From the
radio station, I didn't know what to say
For the radio
wasn't turned on, and it wasn't late
It wasn't the
CD player, and it wasn't the tape
I just
listened, as I heard new songs from those who had died
Continuing
their musical careers beyond, and I could have cried
It sounded so
wonderful, it touched me beyond words
In my mind, I
could picture beautiful flying birds
John and
George of The Beatles, teamed up for a song there
And the radio
played it, and love was in the air
My ears were
tuned in, to listen and to hear
All the
Heavenly voices, that came into my ear
I heard Elvis
Presley in the spotlight, and he's still singing and swaying
He's the King
Of Rock N' Roll there too, so everyone keep on praying
For the words
you send, is what they all receive
It all
depends, on whatever you believe
I was happy
to be able to hear this, and I had to smile
Because I
would never find this station, on the radio dial
It was early
in the morning, about one fifty seven
When the
songs came on the Radio From Heaven
I actually turned on the boombox, and didn't have the radio on, but heard music
