Sharing
Time In Washington
by Bud Lemire on June 11,
2003
Walking on a
shore, that's 30 miles long
Listening
through a seashell, to the ocean's song
Seeing the
skies, filled with every kind of kite
And the
fireworks lit up, on the 4th of July night
A walk around
the water, with your hand in mine
The feeling
of our love, as a warm tingle up my spine
Watching TV,
and seeing your smile
Impressions
in my mind, sure will last awhile
On the road
to somewhere, with our seatbelts fastened tight
Seeing you
come home from work, all dressed up in white
Raking up the
yard, after you have mowed the grass
Taking turns
sipping, from the same glass
On a day away
to Seattle, to spend some time
Hauling
garbage to the dumps, with hands full of grime
Eating ice
cream, with our bellies filled with delight
The fan
cooling our bodies, on a starry night
Sharing Time
In Washington, with the one I love
With the moon
shining down, on us from above
