Your Home

Your Home

by Bud Lemire on March 8, 2003

It is so wonderful of you, to let us in your home

And give us all the freedom, wherever we may roam

To put forth on the table, food that we can eat

And treat us with kindness, to make us feel complete

To let us use the computer, and take your time away

So we can have lots of fun, with the games we play

To let us watch your TV, programs that we usually do

Makes you even more special, to let us share with you

You gave us a bed, so that we could sleep

And shared the warmth, so that we could keep

You kept the stove going, and kept us warm

And gave us shelter, that kept us from the storm

You let us use your bathroom, to keep ourselves clean

And there were many things, that were in between

You let us speak freely, with the words we said

And you started off each meal, with The Daily Bread

You tried your best to help, and give us your voice

Other times silence found you, as you made that choice

Being Parents and Grandparents, made you each aware

And taught you each the value, and how special it is to share

This is me thanking my In-Laws Ray & Anna Belle German, for taking

us in and sharing a home with us in Montesano, Washington
