Alma
by Bud Lemire on Oct 7,

It was long
before my birth, that she passed away
But her
spirit is around me, and there is where it'll stay
She's my
maternal grandmother, a special Mom to me
From the
spirit world, she guides my destiny
With music in
her soul, and love in her heart
Our spirits
joined together, never to be apart
She'll always
know, she is a special one
Her love
shines through me, just like the sun
She was a
hard worker, all day in the fields
Farming off
the land, the food from which it yields
She's my
Grandma Alma, the woman in the sky
I saw her
there in my dream, she's the reason why
Why I love
family, why I stay in touch
Because life
is too short, to argue just too much
I spread my
love around, and then I have to smile
Because I
know that, it was also Alma's style
Her life
here, was cut way too short
But she's
always here, to give spiritual support
Oh Grandma
Alma, how I love you so
And I wrote
this poem, so you'd always know
For my
Grandma Alma Duford-Joint, who I've always felt
close to.
Thank you Alma for your love.
