As Long As We Try

Our life relies on money

It truly isn't funny

I've seen people barely getting by

Sometimes it makes me cry

How will I afford clothes, food, bills, and the rent

Should I wait for it to be Heaven sent

Maybe it'll pour pennies from Heaven for me

There is nothing in this world that is free

Maybe I should seek the Money Tree

Climb it and pick from the branches I see

Even though I know it isn't real

This is how I really feel

I wish everyone had enough money

I also wish five days a week would be sunny

I would wish everyone would get by

So there would be no tears for them to cry

Yet there's a reason and this I know

In this journey of life, awareness of the soul

To realize no matter how we get by

We'll manage somehow, As Long As We Try

Life isn't always easy when everything costs so much.

But as long as we try, we find a way.

Somehow, some way, our soul carries on
