Departure

Departure

by Bud Lemire on Dec 17, 2004

Our lives intertwine, and then they depart

Some memories, will remain deep in our heart

Looking back, I'd have to say

So glad, that you came my way

It wasn't easy, for either of us

We do what we can, and what we must

Choices are made, painful and free

So we can travel onward, to our destiny

I don't regret, the decisions I've made

In the end, lessons were learned, and fully paid

Sometimes we must travel, to understand

And appreciate life, the best that we can

Sometimes we must choose, decisions that are hard

It's what comes up, as we're playing the cards

It's not easy, when you're down on the farm

Hoping dreams come true, and you're safe from harm

I'm hoping someday, to get my poetry out

Until that day arrives, I'll keep walking down this route

I'm wishing you well, in all that you do

And hoping all your dreams, will eventually come true
