Oh Diane,
you're a good friend to me
The care you
put into, the Family History
You had some
big boots to fill, and they're the right size
I knew you'd
do a great job, and it was no surprise
Margaret and
Pat, are smiling down on you
Because of
all the helping, that it is you do
You strive to
do the very best, helping others trace
Their
ancestors in the family tree, to put in the proper place
Computers are
no problem, the future is the key
On seeking
out the past, that leads to you and me
You're
patient with people, and you are so kind
And you
appreciate, the ancestry people find
Your
knowledge is your wisdom, you listen as others tell
Empathic to
their stories, you feel them as well
You seem to
understand, much more than people say
The guiding
force of family, that's with us everyday
So much is
stored in your mind, I'd like to take a look
But I'd never
finish, it's like a never ending book
To see your
friendly smile, a soul so filled with love
Leaves no
doubt to me, you're guided from above
This is for the
director of the Family History Library.
A Great friend of
mine.
