Different, Yet The Same

Although we are different, we're the same in many ways

Learning about each other, together through the days

My music is so very different, from the kind you like

Still we're filled with love, in each others light

On TV our shows are different, that we like to view

There are many differences, between me and you

The foods we like are different, and the pace we go

Still our spirits intertwine, and cause an inner glow

We are different, in the games we like to play

And you and I speak differently, with the words we say

Our thoughts are different, on everything we know

Yet our love together, is felt within the soul

There are many times, I wished we liked the same

But I'm so happy, to share with you my last name

We are individuals, loved for who we've become

Taking pride in knowing, exactly where we're from

Although we are different, we are much the same

Sharing love together, is our biggest aim

Although we are different, we're the same in many ways
