Missing Light

It happened in the night

There came up a missing light

It had always been there

And I've always been aware

Where would the lamp go

Is there someone who would know

While everyone slept

A light burglar crept

We know someone didn't sleep

For they nabbed the lamp to keep

They have the lobby light

Now it's nowhere in sight

But what they didn't know

A camera captured as they stole

Oh yes, they're on TV

And the nabber was a she

Did she think she'd get away

Not by the light of day

She'll get what she has coming

Because the camera was running

This actually happened.

Here at my apartment in the lobby a few nights ago,

someone stole the Lobby lamp.

And it was all captured on camera.
