She Talks To Trees

                                           She Talks To Trees

© by Bud Lemire on April 19, 2021

She talks to trees, she knows what they say

Do you need anything, let me know each day”

She's been known to hug them, long into dark

Gently they whisper, never do they bark

She isn't crazy, she knows what's on their mind

This is with every tree, each one that she'll find

They tell me of a story, of the future and the past”

They know that in the present, that lives aren't meant to last”

We've seen so many, waste their time away”

When there is so much, they can do every day”

When the other trees are sick, they cut them down”

Is there not a cure, the thought just brings a frown”

I've seen babies born, and seen them grow old”

Some that have been bitter, hearts having grown cold”

I've seen some so dedicated, their love intertwined forever”

I've seen some stupid actions, that weren't very clever”

Life must have more meaning, every moment that you live”

Like the cycle of the tree, life is a gift that you must give”

The tree told her this, this is what was heard

I share these messages with you, I share every word

Many times we are so caught up in our lives, we forget

to listen to Nature's cry for help. Just a moment to spend

time with Natures wonderful creatures that live in the same

world we do. To listen, and understand what they are going

through in their lives. Do you cry for a tree that has a disease

and is going to be cut down? Many do cry for them.

Fear Of Things To Come

Fear Of Things To Come

© by Bud Lemire on April 26. 2021

The fear has taken over me

Visions come and won't let me be

It's something I must do, I know

Yet this unleashed fear, won't let me go

The Nightmares come, so vivid and strong

Hurting my soul, like a Heavy Metal song

I know it's something, that must be done

It hurts like hell, and isn't fun

I never asked for this, and yet I must

In my Spiritual Family, and In God I trust

To help me get through all this pain

So that inside, I won't go insane

I scream in anger, and then I cry

I ask God, if there's a reason why

I know it's the only way

Time is closer to that day

If I could only disappear

Get rid of all this fear

I know it's something I can't do

I only ask for help to get me through

When the fear is so bad, that you can't

sleep because of Nightmares, and in the

daytime, the flashbacks haunt you. When

you relive every terrible moment in your life.

When some procedure is so feared, that you

can't sleep at all. People, it may seem unreal,

but it's happening to many who have been

through Covid. What they need is people to

understand. To know, that they did not ask

for this, it happened, and the vice is very

tightly wound around them. They can't

break loose. They cry for help!

I Don't Use Make Up

I Don't Use Make Up

© by Bud Lemire on April 20, 2021

I don't use make up, I use compassion

I try to stick with, the latest fashion

I try to understand, what others are going through

I'm sure you'd want the same, if it happened to you

Understanding, is needed here

Until it is, it'll be unclear

It's like battling an invisible enemy

A force, that nobody else can see

Just because, we can not see

It is still there, causing misery

You can “suck it up,” and try to be tough

You can ignore it, but enough is enough

Acting tough, is being untrue

I know, that isn't really you

Using compassion, shows that you care

That your mind is working, and is well aware

Your friend, is going through a hard time

Being an ear of comfort, wouldn't be a crime

I don't use make up, I use compassion

I try to stick with, the latest fashion

When you truly care about someone, you will

make an effort to understand what they are

going through. Try seeing it from where they

are at. You may handle things differently, but

you aren't in their shoes. You can easily say,

If I was them I would do this, or be like this.”

But, you haven't been where they are, and you

are not them. Everyone handles things a bit

differently than the other. Some are more sensitive

than others. Use some compassion. It's the wise

thing to do.

Covid Made Some Changes

Covid Made Some Changes

© by Bud Lemire on April 11, 2021

To those who see us regularly, we may look the same

Yet, we've changed with our outlook, and covid is to blame

Little things we do, from day to day

We've learned to do, in a much different way

Some people are not good with changes, It's so hard to do

Once you have a routine in life, changes can be so hard on you

Ever since covid started, we've all endured so much

Keeping our distance from people, missing the human touch

Many, when they care to admit it, go for therapy

The help we get, and time, is what holds the key

Some won't admit to changes, they pretend nothing is wrong

They just ignore the problems, so their life just goes along

Admitting you have a problem, is the first step we must take

These changes can be uneasy, with each day that you wake

Confront these issues, you are not insane

Covid made some changes, reacquaint with your brain

Take things a bit slower, think about it all

You'll understand much more, without putting up a wall

You are not alone, covid affected many here

Let's stand together, together we'll overcome any fear

Covid has made some changes to the brain and the heart.

This enemy has invaded our body, and is back for more.

We must be careful, and we must stand together against

this common enemy. We must also learn a new way. To

step carefully, breathe in and out, and carry on. Use our

inner strength to make it through all this.

Don't Get Caught Up In The Fog

Don't Get Caught Up In The Fog

© by Bud Lemire on April 10, 2021

Don't get caught up in the fog passing by

There's so much more, beyond your eye

You'll see it all, as you move ahead

Move your feet forward, and you'll be lead

I know you're discouraged, by what you don't see

Just flow with your life, let all things come to be

The greater good, the greater things are yet to come

You'll find, in your heart and soul, where it is from

Reach out, dance and smile in the fog

Can you hear the barking of the dog?

He comes up and licks your face

You knew all along, this is your place

Just like the fog, you can't always see

Where life will take you, in your destiny

Your soul knows, and it will guide you

When the fog gets too thick, it'll help you through

We all sometimes feel that way

As time passes by every day

There's so much, you have yet to do before you die

So, please don't get caught up in the fog, passing by

Sometimes we can't always see what is to be, or why

we are where we are in life. But it always works out.

We get beyond the fog, and we get through it all. We

have fog lights, and fog horns, and use our souls as

our guides. Knowing what feels right to us, is the way

we get from one place to the next.

There's Always Good Things

There's Always Good Things

© by Bud Lemire on April 8, 2021

Even with the bad things happening today

There's always good things that come our way

If you look all around

The best in life, can be found

For me, it's nature, the birds in the tree

It does something special to me

A butterfly, so beautiful, flying by

Catches my attention, in front of my eye

A bike ride by the water, people having fun

Out on the water, fishing in the sun

On a Paddle Board, or flying a kite

To me, I'll tell you, it's quite a sight

The Song Sparrow, singing his song

A Robin on the ground, walking along

A chipmunk, running through the grass

Someone on their bicycle, just going pass

These are the things, that I like to see

When I spend a nice day, and set my soul free

Even with the bad things, happening today

There's always good things, that come our way

There are always good things, among any bad things.

In fact, these days, the best things mean even more.

Because you are here now, to enjoy them. So please

take advantage of that time, and enjoy them.

Your Profile Picture

Your Profile Picture

© by Bud Lemire on April 1, 2021

Your profile picture is nice to see

A smiling face looking back at me

Whether it be your family, or a picture of you

Or something you like, or something you like to do

Maybe you picked a favorite, that you want to be on display

I enjoy looking at them, I just thought that I should say

This profile picture on display to see

Shows quite a bit of your personality

I like to see how everyone looks

It's like seeing covers of books

Sometimes I try to turn the page

Or I try to guess your age

I look into your eyes and it's beauty I see

And a good soul gazing back at me

A friend who is traveling through time

Living a life, that intersects with mine

You chose that picture to show us all

It's displayed at the very top of your wall

I must say, it's a great picture to see

All my friends, looking back at me

I love seeing what pictures you chose as

your profile picture. I know it means a lot

to you to have it there. I like to see your face,

smiling, and having a good time. Or something

that you enjoy, or something you are interested

in. A family member that you cherish, in honor

of, or in memory of. A cause you believe in.

Whatever it is, it is what means the most to you.

***************************************

I picked some of the people who come to my page daily.

So if you don't see your picture, please don't feel bad.

You'd be crowded like a sardine, and I know you wouldn't

like that. I chose to keep you out of the can. ;)
