A Tulip Among The Flowers

A Tulip Among The Flowers

by Bud Lemire on May 6, 2007

So many things you must have seen, on the way to this age
Each year like a chapter, as you kept turning the page
The changes that kept being made
Like a moving picture come to life parade

The people the places, as time passed on by
Some good, some bad, memories that will never die
The progress that the world had gone through
All seen, felt, and experienced by you

You were a part of your family history
You could tell stories of how things came to be
Living life every minute and all those hours
You were a Tulip, among all the flowers

Dora, one can only imagine all the pain
Your strength must have kept you sane
Good health, you must have been blessed
The Angels helping you through each test

I only crossed your path briefly a time or two
But in those times, I felt a good soul in you
Friends and family by you, you’ll never be alone
Dear friend, I honor your life in this poem

For my friend Dora, who has reached 100 years of life on May 3rd 2007. She is indeed a Tulip among the flowers. A special person who’s journey has taken her so far. May the Angels keep on guiding you on the rest of your journey of life.
She is now among the Angels in Heaven.
