Warrior At Heart

With
our first handshake it was easy to see
This
guy would be a good friend to me
His
spiritual journey is similar to mine
A
warrior at heart following his native line
His
moods surfaced in the way he was feeling
Aches
and pains all over while his body was healing
He
joined in the fun in a game of dice
And
was always open to some friendly advice
We
shared in music and a trivial blast
Listening
to TV Themes songs from the past
He
loves his movies and collected quite a few
Sometimes
we'd have a quiz on the actors he knew
An
apartment decorated in Native American stuff
He'd
pick up some more, because there was never enough
Recently
I saw him dressed up for Starfleet
Battling
the Klingons, he never gave in to defeat
All
in all, he's a good friend to know
If
we went through his pain, our feelings would show
The
struggles he's had was only the start
For
this brave man who is A Warrior At Heart
Tony, this
one is for you. You've been through so much in your lifetime, and
can still laugh. I treasure the friendship that we have since we
met. I wish you peace as you travel down life's path to where you
belong.
