Behold The True Me

Behold The True Me

by Bud Lemire on Jan 25, 2004

I'm not a child molester, and I don't cheat

I am what you see, from my head to my feet

And it's a sure thing that I never lie

I try my best to express myself so you won't cry

I am honest and I seek the truth in everyone

I never have to ask for forgiveness when the day is done

For everything I give comes as love from my heart

That is what you'll find if you take me apart

And if you see beyond the physical, then you will know

It is where lives my spirit, also known as the soul

I live each day, to travel in the light

To hold and help you through every night

I know the past has left you with some pain

But what I see and feel of you, is what remains

You've conquered the past, moved on in time

So we could touch each other, and you could be mine

I'll keep on doing what I do best

Helping you understand each of life's tests

So here I am with my arms opened wide

Ready to hold you, won't you come inside
