Cold As A
Fish
by Bud Lemire on May 6,

When someone
grows as cold as a fish
Time to rely
on the stars and a wish
When love is
at the ocean's floor
Then it's a
bit too fishy to ignore
Time to swim
to the top, and then swim away
Upon the many
ripples, of a brand new day
When the one
who once had, a heart of gold
Turns into an
octopus, who has you in a stranglehold
When the
oyster has a bit too much of that slime
And it
doesn't even give you much of any time
Time to blow
the bubbles, and then hit the coast
Better off
spending time, with a shrimp ghost
When the
shark attacks, and is out for blood
You find
yourself, squirming in the mud
When the
Washington red snapper, snaps at you
The Great
Lakes Whitefish, must become renewed
