He followed his own path, because that was his choice

With Bob and Roy and Tom and Jeff, he would always be found

He had a sense of humor, a gentle spirit, and he was always kind

And shared so many songs with us, that flowed out of his mind

From the Taxman, to within the Rubber Soul

All the songs he's shared with us, all those years ago

He knew about Life Itself, we thank him for the sun

He knew all about love, Love Comes To Everyone

While Our Guitars Gently Weep, for a man we loved so much

He is never far away, when it's the Inner Light we touch
