Karen, A Special Cousin

Karen, A Special Cousin

by Bud Lemire on Sept 8, 2013

Who would have known what would happen, on this certain day

While climbing the Duford Family Tree and researching the name Cambray

A Lloyd Cambray arrived right at our door

And soon I'd meet a cousin that I had known before

Lloyd told my Mother that his sister Millicent lived in town

He gave us the address of where she could be found

So it was off I went

In search of Millicent

Off to her place I did roam

To Millicent's happy home

And who should walk in the door

But the cousin I had known before

I was working at a job

For a quadriplegic man named Bob

This cousin I just met

Wasn't known as a cousin yet

She had helped Bob on the computer before

He introduced me to her when I walked in the door

She seemed a friendly lass

As I was walking pass

Not too many years later you see

While working on the Duford Genealogy

You read it all above

It was the story of . . .

How I met a special cousin of mine

Who became a wonderful friend in time

This one is for you Karen Berg-Pelky!

Since Facebook, we've come to know

each other better. We found we have

much in common.

Not only am I glad you're my cousin,

I'm also happy to have you as my friend as well
