Creepy Crawlies

Creepy Crawlies

by Bud Lemire on June 11, 2003

Creepy Crawlies, crawling on the ground

Silently among us, they don't make a sound

Creeping over everything, wherever they go

Maybe one of them, is the Black Widow

Mom's been weeding around the house, and surely broke their home

Without it they are now, and within is where they roam

Why, they look so ugly, and scary as can be

One was on the towel rack, staring chills into me

It felt like they were everywhere, this feeling that they gave

I wonder if they'd go away, if I gave them a friendly wave

I saw one scurry, across the kitchen floor

One big one was enough, I sure don't want any more

Maybe if I think real hard, they will disappear

All I know for sure, is I want them out of here

Maybe some are harmless, but that won't work for me

I wonder how we look to them, I wonder how they see

I wonder if there's a way, for them to just go away

Or if they'd understand, if we bowed our heads and pray

All I know for sure, is they scare me to the bone

Just remember this, if you decide to wreck their home
