Label
Those Pictures

Label those
pictures that you now own
Naming the
people that you have known
One day
you'll be gone, and the pictures will go...
...To another
family member, and they should know
“Who are
these people?” is what they will say
Why didn't
someone label them before they passed away
It would mean
so much to know the people there
Right in
those photos, so then I could share
An ancestor
or cousin that posed for the shot
Maybe taken
right there. Or some other spot
No names are
listed, so who could they be
I'd like to
know, it means a great deal to me
If someone
had written who they were
Then I would
know and I could be sure
Without a
name, they could be anyone
By the looks
of the pictures, they sure had fun
Pictures mean
more when it's someone you know
Valued quite
deeply and touches the soul
Memories
replayed of the day it was taken
Lost in the
time stream only to be awaken
Label those
pictures so we will know
The people in
the photos and all that they show
Remember
to label those pictures of the people you know. Your kids and other
relatives who may get them, won't know who they all are. Pictures
become meaningless when they are unknown. So take time to write down
who they are on the back. The meaning and value of them will be
much higher to the person who has them.
