Lagoon In June

Lagoon In June

By Bud Lemire on June 8, 2004

Fish are jumping in the water like a frog

While the turtles are climbing on the log

Dragonflies of all colors are flying around

As the fish make their splishy splashy sound

Ducks across the water, bathe themselves clean

While I watch them standing, on the grass so green

People would come by, they were out for a walk

Some would take time, to come up to me and talk

There’s some turtles swimming, also in this lagoon

On this hot day, in the month of June

Blackbirds come by for a dip

On the day I took a nature trip

The breeze blowing, feels so nice to me

Trees are in bloom, flowers opening up to see

On this special day, when I got in tune

With the nature in the Lagoon In June
