When all seemed hopeless, when all seemed dark

Your love came into my life, and left a spark

It is no wonder, Dawn, why I love you so

With your caring loving ways, that you always seem to show

You have a love for life, and have so much to give

I've learned so much about the world, especially how to live

You've always looked at life, in such a special way

And taught me all about myself, in living day to day

I've grown in spirit, through the love and through the pain

Even with the sunshine, there always is some rain

But that is good for nature, they need every drop

Just like our love for each other, which will never stop

I wish that I lived closer, so that I could hold you tight

And drive away your worries, and drive away your fright

But all I can do is pray, with help from above

And send you all my moral support, and send you all my love

I hope that you are feeling it, because my love is true

From my heart and soul, especially for you

As time goes on, I realize how important you are to me

You unlocked my inner feelings, you hold the special key

My life is in your hands, I trust you very much

Because I've felt your soul, and I've felt your gentle touch

Feel my love when you're lonely, feel my love when you're scared

And think of all the good times spent, and all the love we've shared

Inside my heart, I know you are the one

With you in my life, there will always be the sun

This is the first love poem I ever wrote about someone I knew on the internet. I put my whole heart into this poem. And her name was Dawn. But do we ever know the person at the other end? Or take what they say as truth.
