Light In The Window

Light In The Window

by Bud Lemire on April 18, 2003

.

Can you imagine a house, looking in from the dark

And know within, there lies a life's spark

To know each house, has a spiritual ember

A fire burning, to keep them warm in December

To know each dwelling, there's a family there

With a shared history, with a lot of care

They may be reading, or watching TV

Eating popcorn, or an Oreo cookie

With a cat on the couch, or a dog on the floor

Who would ask for less, who could ask for more

The fireplace burning, or the heater up high

Out on the sidewalk, I am walking by

The light in the window, makes me think

Each of us have, a common link

We all come together, for a love that we share

A tie that is bound, by all that is there

Like a star twinkling, up in the night's sky

The sparkle of life, goes on until we die

Then our spirit leaves. the place that we know

To continue our journey, so we can grow
