Lighthouse

Lighthouse

By Bud Lemire on February 13th, 2003

Like a Lighthouse, guiding ships at sea

Your love is a beacon, that is guiding me

Through stormy weather, I see your light

Shining brightly, and I hold on tight

Your light is strong enough, for all to see

But the love you give, is especially for me

I bring my ship, right into your dock

My inner light, with your key you unlock

I gaze at your light, shining out to sea

And I let my spirit, unite with thee

Together souls, on a dark foggy night

Brighter is the beam, from this house of light

Many days, they watch you from the shore

Seeking lost ships, and you do so much more

Where there is water, your light can be found

Helping those in the waters, get safely to ground

There goes your light, beaming brightly on my ship

I'm coming home, after a day's long trip

You are a Lighthouse, so strong and so bright

Guiding the ships, in the dark of night
