Spiritual
Beauty
2001 by Bud Lemire
What
makes someone beautiful, is it seen upon their face?
Is
it having the proper body parts, looking especially good in place?
Oh
sure, they're good to look at, I'm always looking too
But
there's a beauty that's much deeper, if you didn't have a clue
It's
the beauty on the inside, that makes us who we are
The
characteristics of the heart and soul, that are the best by far
When
you connect to this inner beauty, upon meeting a new friend
Your
souls begin connecting, and stay together until the end
You
feel the warmth inside, and the tugging of your heart
And
you feel their spiritual beauty, and you have taken part
Is
this a healing gift, or is it something you just somehow know
That
warms the deepest part of you, and makes you feel aglow
It
doesn't matter, what their skin color, or their shape or size
Or
what their hair color is, or the color of their eyes
And
it really doesn't matter, if their nose is short or if it's long
When
recognizing another's spiritual beauty, you simply can't go wrong
When
seeking out your life mate, just do what feels right
Don't
look too closely on the outside, but look for the inner light
For
it is our Spiritual Beauty, that stays with us, even after we've died
It
is the deepest kind of love we share, that comes from deep inside
