Tattered Wings

Tattered Wings

by Bud Lemire on Aug 3, 2006

I saw a butterfly, that was tattered

I thought of all things that mattered

In our lives, we all must try

Through our problems, to always fly

With tattered wings it flew quite well

But it must have gone through some hell

It landed on a leaf, and I took a look

The wind blew gently, and the wings shook

I thought of those with tattered wings

Those with problems that life brings

It never stopped them from always trying

Though wings be tattered, they kept on flying

No matter what our life might bring

We should learn to value everything

Through our experiences, trials and errors

We learn to fly with what is there

With tattered wings like the butterfly

Our life is built on things we try

To carry on and never give up hope

With Tattered Wings, we learn to cope
