West
Virginian Angel
by Bud Lemire on April 2,

Just a few
years ago, I entered a chatroom
Hosted by a
West Virginian woman, playing happy tunes
She had her
regulars, always coming there
In this
special place, where friends gathered to share
She'd be in
the spotlight, singing a favorite song
Everyone
caught up in it, they would sing along
She made
everyone feel special, who came to her place
Visions of a
happy woman, with smiles upon her face
But life for
her wasn't easy, sometimes it got hard
She'd always
try her best, to hold the winning card
Everyone has
a story, for her it is the same
For this West
Virginian Angel, and Nancy is her name
We all know
her as Nan, and her halo shines so bright
You can feel
her spirit, and be taken in by her light
Native
American roots, her spirit proud and strong
You can feel
captivated, and want to sing along
Nan, you've
always been a friend, all through these years
Through the
happy times, and through all the tears
Your voice is
so soothing, to the human soul
And you're a
very special friend, that I've come to know
