Whatever

I hate the word "whatever"

Some people think it's clever

But it seems a bit rude to me

For them to let things be

When they don't want to deal

And want a temporary seal

They speak the word they say

It's how they handle it their way

In the middle of conversations

They need to learn more patience

And listen and try to understand

How the word may land

I know that to my ear

It doesn't bring me cheer

So if it is so clever

Explain to me, not "whatever"
