Soul Quest
2:Valley Of The Dead
by Bud Lemire on May 9,
2004
Nelak looks
closer at the map, as it flashes red
“Did you
say it’s the Valley Of The Dead?”
Angelica
pointed, “It’s where all the spirits stay”
Bud added,
“And it’s also where we’re going today”
“Alrighty!”
Nelak exclaims with a big smile on her face
Angelica
calmly said, “Spirits and humans in the same place”
“But aren’t
they sharing the same space now?” Bud asked with a smile
“Yes, in a
way,” Angelica replied, “but it’s in a different style
She continued
“It’s a spirit to spirit connection, only stronger”
“And also,”
Angelica continued, “It can last much longer”
“Wow!”
Nelak exclaimed as the map flashed red
Speaking
softly Bud said “Time to visit the dead”
Nelak asked
“I wonder what our quest will be today?”
Angelica put
in, “I said a prayer to guide us on our way”
“Great!”
Nelak and Bud replied in unison as they got in the car
Picking up
the speed , they were traveling fast and far
They came to
a crossroads, which way should they go?
Out of
nowhere, a male figure appeared with a glow
“It’s
Patrick (repoman)!” Angelica beamed, “he’s pointing to the
right!”
As a tear
formed in Angelica’s eye, Nelak drove into the night
The car
hadn’t gotten too far, when it came to a stop
They were on
a cloud, they got out but didn’t drop
Bud broke the
silence, “This looks more like Heaven than Hell”
Off in the
distance, they heard a ringing of a bell
Nelak
wondered, “Do they know that we are here?”
“I’m sure
they do,” Angelica said, “but never fear”
Bud smiled,
“Hope that wasn’t the dinner bell, because I’m not hungry at
all”
Our three
heroes followed an invisible road, wondering if they’d fall
“Images are
coming into my head,” Nelak said
She
continued, “There’s a living spirit among the dead”
“He fell to
sleep one night, and never woke”
“His body’s
in a coma, while his family loses hope”
Angelica
commented, “He must be a lost soul”
Bud added,
“Not knowing which way to go”
Nelak went
on, “I’m letting him know we are here”
“He says
he’ll do his best to guide us near”
“Before he
can rejoin his body, we need to find his lifeline”
Angelica
whispered, “We must find it soon, he’s almost out of time”
Bud asked
Nelak, “Is his aura color blue?”
“YES!”
Nelak shouted, wondering how Bud knew
Bud
responded, “I see a blue thin line over there”
He pointed
beyond a tree, but no one saw it anywhere
Bud realized
he was seeing, what they couldn’t see
Angelica
suggested “One of us should go in, and send him by that tree”
“I will
go,” Nelak volunteered, “he seems to trust and know me”
“Go with
our love,” Angelica said, “go forth and set our friend free”
Angelica
placed a necklace around Nelak’s neck, and then started to say
“It’s
St.Christopher, the traveler’s guide, he’ll protect you on your
way”
They all held
hands, in a silent prayer of the soul
Strength
combined as one, as Nelak started to go
Before long
as they watched, she faded from their sight
Bud noticed
around Angelica, a mysterious glowing light
Angelica
smiled and said “Nelak has set our friend free”
They both
walked over, to the blue lifeline by the tree
There they
saw a young man’s spirit, following his lifeline
Reclaiming
his life back, making up for the lost time
They wondered
where Nelak was, and if she was okay
Looking back
the way she went, she was coming back their way
As she got
closer, she said, “ I sure love being me”
“And I’m
so happy that we set this young soul free”
Everyone
looked up, as a terrifying blackness filled the skies
No one seemed
to notice, the eerie red glow in Nelak’s eyes
hmmmm. I wonder if
Nelak could use some Visine in her eyes lol. ~Bud~
