Star Gazers

Star Gazers

by Bud Lemire on Feb 24, 2004

I sit up here on the clouds

Far below are gathered crowds

They gaze in wonder at the sky

And always wonder how and why

They come from far, they come from near

Every time, this time of year

To stare up in the night

And pick out the star lights

They wonder just how far

How far away is each star

Some are shooting, some are falling

But each of them seem to be calling

They form so many shapes up there

Looking around, they're everywhere

Oh the beauty on a starlit night

To gaze at them while moonlight's bright

I think there's beauty everywhere

Something good, when we're aware
