Summer
Song

If someone
were to ask me, what makes a summer song
I'd say all
things on earth, being exactly where they belong
The trees
with their leaves, and their branches held so high
The birds
flying above, and the clouds up in the sky
The grass so
green, standing on the ground
Butterflies
in a garden, whenever they are found
A squirrel in
a backyard, or climbing up a tree
The sun
shining down, is a summer song for me
Blue skies
behind white clouds, oh what a sight to see
Waves upon
the shore, keeps beckoning to me
Boats upon
the water, going off for a cruise
The summer
song I'm hearing, there's no way I can lose
Rain pouring
down, on a dark and windy day
Lightning
flashing with thunder, upon the shades of gray
Splashing
through the puddles, raindrops falling down
Pedaling my
bicycle, through a Northern Michigan town
Listen to the
summer song, nature has a way
To harmonize
with all good things, to make a special day
