The Song Of September

The Song Of September

by Bud Lemire on Sept 10, 2011

As the day moved along

I thought about a September song

Warm days with some cooler nights

Sunrise, sunset, some amazing sights

The end of summer, Fall is on the way

But it's a good season to enjoy every day

The trees start to change color too

And looks beautiful against the sky of blue

The birds sing their last song before heading south

The acorn squash testes good in your mouth

Warmed apple pie topped with vanilla ice cream

Makes for a dessert lovers' dream

A sail boat on the water with a pink sunset scene

While off in the distance the trees are so green

A Brown Thrasher searches for food for its young

While listening to a September Song being sung

So many things you can remember

When you sing the song of September

The weather gets cooler, but still feels so nice.
The leaves start changing colors. The sunsets and sunrises move
into different places. Nature gets ready for the cooler season as Autumn approaches.
