When The Spirits Speak

I should be careful, with the words I choose

Or the ones that I love, I will surely lose

And I should always look, for the positive in everything

To help me through each day, it's a happy song I must sing

They tell me they are proud of me, for all that I have done

Now it's time for me, to have my share of fun

They tell me I must go on, and meet my journey's end

And embrace the many people, whom I consider a friend

Some friends will remain in our life forever, some just for awhile

Some pass through our lives, just to share a smile

While others cause us so much pain, it's a lesson we must learn

For a place in the spirit world, is something we must earn

When I feel all alone, and I feel life is incomplete

That is where the challenges are, that we each must meet

When I have the feeling, that I can not pass each test

That is when I'm winning, and doing my very best

The spirits say they're guiding me, in everything I do

But they say sometimes, their messages can't get through

For we must take each step in life, with an open mind

And leave all of the doubts we've collected, very far behind

So always remember, when all hope seems so bleak
