Upon My Memories

Upon My Memories

by Bud Lemire on June 19, 2004

She came in upon my memories

Her love so strong I was on my knees

With her presence, I found it easier to breathe

Pulse racing, I reached out for a squeeze

Her skin so soft, the touch of light

As her eyes glowed, so very bright

I took her hands, and placed them in mine

Her lips called to me, that now was the time

As our lips met, the world around us disappeared

Only the two of us remained, as my vision cleared

We bared our souls, and bared so much more

As our embrace took us, through the door

Her hair aglow, within the moonlight

It was a magical, and mystical sight

Our bodies very close, we merged as one

The warmth of two people, as the world spun

Oh how I wish this embrace, would always last

But I feel it’s more, than I could ever ask

Before I know it, my eyes open and she’s not here

She came in upon my memories, only to disappear
