Our
Christmas Tree

With Candy
Canes all nestled, upon branches on the tree
It's placed
next to the window, for everyone to see
With lights
of every color, shining from afar
And at the
very top, is a big fuzzy bear star
We cut it
down ourselves, from a place not far away
And paid for
it, which was a reasonable price to pay
We carried it
to the car, and then we brought it here
To stand in
our home, and bring us Christmas cheer
Nothing
smells as good, as a freshly cut Christmas tree
To bring the
holiday spirit, alive for you and me
Its branches
sticking out, for decorations that we place
And to see
all the smiles, that are on everyone's face
So needles
won't fall off, we keep it watered well
And pick up
any decorations, if any of them fell
With bulbs of
every color, and other decorations too
When all is
placed upon the tree, then we would be through
We have
decorations of all kinds, if you care to look
Fuzzy bear,
snowman, Santa Claus, placed in every nook
Then we turn
off the lights, to watch the beauty that we see
When we gaze
in joyfulness, at Our Christmas Tree
I remember finding a
tree at the Tree farm and we cut it down
and carried it to our
car. It was my first Christmas in Washington,
and it was in Gig
Harbor. I remember going to all the shops that
were at the bottom of
the hill, right along where the Yacht
is. Trying to find the
perfect gift to put under the tree.
