Soul Success

In this world today, we rely so much on success

While many just get by, by barely passing each test

Teachers do their best, hoping their students reach their goal

While some of us are content, to listen to our soul

Success will get you money, but happiness may not happen to you

Unless you find deeper meaning, in a life that is true

Some may have a castle, a fancy car, or a pot of gold

Me, I cherish little things, and good friends while I grow old

You may live at the top of the tallest building in town

And still not see everything, until you look around

Success will give you much, but it may not be what you need

The truth found in your spirit, is better in the lead

I know there will be some, who'll disagree

All I know is what's right for me

Rich I am, for I have much

I'm being guided by God's touch

People judge success by how much wealth

While the soul is judged beyond good health

It's sad to think that money is power

And those with less feel the need to cower

I am proud of being me

What I am is what you see

To always do my very best

As spirits guide me to a Soul Success

Soul Success is being content with what

you have, and never striving to have the

most, but appreciating all you have now.
