Sun Shining Down

Sun Shining Down

©2003 by Bud Lemire

Sun shining down, upon my head

Those who are sleeping, get out of bed

Don't you miss, this beautiful day

Before you know, it's gone away

The flowers and trees, wait for you

The birds take in, an overhead view

The squirrels watch, and see you there

As nature smiles, because they care

The butterflies, fly all around

But they, don't make a sound

The bees are buzzing, by their nest

And your spirit, knows what is best

A ladybug lands, and flies again

The touch of a smile, from a friend

Sun shining down, upon my head

I am so happy, I got out of bed

When the sun is shining, it's always

best to get out of bed and enjoy the day
