This poem is for the
Teachers, Of The Family Tree
Margaret Gilbert & Pat
Sundstrom, and what they mean to me
They've always been there,
guiding us in all we do
And through our family
research, we looked up to you
When hopelessness was
present, and darkest was the night
You kept our spirits
hoping, you gave us love and light
You told us when the time
was right, our families would be found
For their spirits are
guiding us, from the Heavenly ground
You gave us many options,
and told us where to go
You made us smile with
happiness, when we were feeling low
You taught us going with
our feelings, plays the biggest part
You joined in our success,
when we added to our chart
You taught us the bond
with our ancestors, always holds true
And their spirits are
inside of us, with everything we do
Although they seem so far
away, they are close at hand
And they are watching us,
as we carry out life's plan
You taught us that
sharing, is a big part of genealogy
And brings us closer
together, as we climb our family tree
Though we have our own
trees to climb, and families like we do
Genealogists become
closer, they're like family too
Through the many years,
the family I have known
Became even more special,
because my spirit's grown
I shall always remember,
the help you've given me
I thank you with all my
heart, the Teachers Of The Family Tree
Thank you Margaret
Gilbert and Pat Sundstrom, for all the help
you've given us through
the years. Your presence and your warm
friendship is truly
something that makes life so much better for
each of us. One that
shall be remembered for years to come.
