The Light In A Cruel Dark World

Oh Kris, all the hurtful things, that to you, were said

To you in this life, making it hard to sleep in your bed

You have traveled a long road, filled with so much pain

In a world where laws aren't strong enough, a world gone insane

How could all of this happen? You and I both ask

When those who should have loved you, wear an evil mask

This is not fair to you, what they did, and all so wrong

All you worked for, and wanted was to sing a happy song

The world needs to get better, or more people will get hurt

When people try their best, and all they get is dirt

You have not done anything wrong, this I'm telling you

I hope these crazy people, will pay for what they put you through

Don't blame yourself for everything that was done

When in darkness and gloom, embrace the sun

I'm here to tell you, all you've done was right

And when we connect physically, I'll hold you every night

I won't let go of you ever, because my love is true

You'll never be hurt or betrayed, while I'm holding you

As long as you hold me, you'll always have me to help you through

Wherever you may go, and whatever you may do

We will get rid of your painful memories of the past

And hold each other, with a love that will forever last

Because, with me, you'll begin a new life

They will regret it, if they ever hurt my wife

We will be each others spiritual strength till time's end

We will be each others life, and each others best friend

I will be your light, in a dark world gone mad

And will always make you smile, when you're sad

Kris, I love you so very much, day and night

In this dark, cruel world, let me always be your light
