Two
Sisters

At The
elevator, two sisters say goodnight
Through a
peep hole, I see them in the hall light
In the quiet
of my room, there are no sounds
Except the
good nights, of two sisters in their nightgowns
I told them,
that many times I hear them at night
They'll say
goodnight to me, if the time is right
Ruth is
"Spunky," and Alice has Bells Palsy
And they are
two very special friends to me
Alice
exercises in the morning, going around the floor
I saw Ruthie
reading the poem, I have hanging on my door
When it comes
to fun, these sisters really know
They enjoy
playing, and get lucky at the casino
They've been
special friends to me, since I moved in here
And as each
day passes, they each become more dear
Ruthie is the
decorator, on her floor
Alice is the
humanitarian, helping people door to door
I wrote this poem, for
two sisters that I know
Alice and Ruthie, who
each have a wonderful soul
Alice has passed away,
and Ruthie has moved out.
