Uplifting
Poems

She gently
lifts the poem from the bulletin board
To bring it
home for her mind to absorb
Tomorrow
she'll get a copy for her own
But for now,
it's her only poem
Some people
will never know why
But the words
in the poem make her high
They can take
you so far away
That can make
you think about every day
Never
realizing others look for it to read
Only knowing
it's something that she needs
She smiles,
feeling so good inside
Knowing her
feelings are nothing to hide
She places it
on the stand by the bed
A wonderful
place, each time it's read
She picks it
up and nods her head
She's fast
asleep underneath the bedspread
The next day,
she thinks copies will do
She'll share
them with all the others too
Friends and
family always love what they say
"Uplifting
Poems, always make my day”
The word uplifting is
taken two ways. The
poem uplifted you, and
you uplifted the
poem and took it home.
My poems were
being taken, and I was
hoping it was
someone who was
enjoying them.
