The Comfort Zone

The Comfort Zone

© 2002 by Bud Lemire

There is a place, that is so easy to be every day

Where we are in control, of the worries that come our way

Within these boundaries, that we know so well

Is a human spirit, that lives within a shell

Afraid of what is, on the outside

Always living in fear, of taking life's ride

Staying within their circle, so they won't feel pain

Not to step out of the Comfort Zone, there they remain

Everyone has something to share, they have something to give

To remain within, is to be without a full life to live

Step outside, and see all that the world can be

Feel the love all around, set your soul free

Set out on a journey, in a new life to explore

And you will feel, that you can be so much more

You cracked the shell, that you lived within so tight

And now your spirit, can follow the love of light

Take pride and honor, in each new step you take

Look forward to each day when you are awake

Step outside of The Comfort Zone, where you were for so long

So your human spirit can grow, and you can sing your song

It's not easy to step outside of your comfort zone, until

your comfort zone becomes uncomfortable, and you

need to find another one
